Pinterest and Proverbs
Pinterest and Proverbs is an opportunity to build friendships and blossom in creativity as we put our hands to work in learning new skills and crafts that we often see on Pinterest boards, as well as gleaning practical wisdom from the Proverbs for every day living. Our goal for the day is for all women, young and old alike, to experience the joy of laughing, learning, and loving together!
The Morning Includes:

1. Acrylic Painting with Julia Vasquez:
Come join me and make your very own 8 x 10 canvas geode painting. You will learn step by step how to mix and pour acrylic paints and the different techniques used so that you can continue the fun at home too. This can be a messy process so please protect your clothing. Can’t wait to see your creations.
2. Canning for Beginners with Cathy Boyer:
If you enjoy food and love creating your own delicacies and gourmet gifts, or if you want to have the abundance of summer fruits packed into a jar to enjoy year-round, then come join me for an introductory class on strawberry jam making and canning.
3. Dining on a Dime; Meals in an Instant with MaryJean Shaw:
Join me as we prepare a dozen recipes that take anywhere from 6 to 30 minutes, start to table: Appetizers, dressings, salads, miracle chicken and desserts. We will use an Instant Pot and learn countless tips on semi-homemade quick meals, shopping on a budget, and speedy cleaning. Come hungry!
4. DYI Leather Journal Stamping with Marissa Kovach:
Come create a one of a kind, refillable, leather journal cover and learn how to stamp, stitch, and finish leather. Includes all leather supplies, plus a lined blank journal!
5. Home for the Holidays with Linda Harrington:
If you are looking for new inspiration for the holidays, come learn creative ways to fill your home with love, scent, homemade goodies and to start family traditions. Simmering potpourri made from scratch, delicious holiday recipes, creative tips, and more! Then, learn how to sew by hand by embroidering a felt ornament for your tree or as a gift to give away. Food samples will be served. Please bring a pair of scissors with you.
6. Let’s Get Sewing with Jacque Entzminger:
Make a WRISTLET that you can use as a holder for your phone, credit cards, car keys, etc. In this intermediate class, you will practice many techniques including zipper installation, matt cutting, squared corners, and interfacing. You will also get lots of sewing tips and learn about my favorite gadgets and gizmos. These make great gifts, not only as wristlets, but also cosmetic bags, jewelry bags, and more!
7. Macrame Art with Krissy Mattison:
Bring beauty and life to your home by learning how to make your very own mini macrame succulent plant hanger. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to create your own personalized macrame art for gift giving to family and friends.
8. Terrariums with Marla Stewart:
Create and decorate a succulent or air plant terrarium that you can take home and proudly display. This informational and fun class will give you all the tips you need to care for your terrariums. If you’re feeling creative, change the design as you go or recreate for a unique present or hostess gift.
9. Wreath Making with Roxanne Barsh and Sasha Wheatley:
Make your home warm and inviting with a beautiful fall or Christmas wreath. Learn how to use burlap, ribbon, and your favorite decorative items to create a festive wreath of beauty. This class is for all ages and experience levels.
