Rob Salvato
Lead Pastor
Rob and Denise were married in 1986 and have three adult children; Aaron, Amy and Amanda. Rob and Denise have been a part of Calvary Vista since 1985. Rob served as the youth pastor from 1985-1991. In the fall of 1991 the Salvato family moved to Oregon to plant a new Calvary Chapel Church in the Salem area. In 1996, the Salvato family returned to Vista when Rob was asked to be the lead pastor of the church.
Denise oversees the Women’s Ministry, serves on the Worship Team, and as a special assistant to Pastor Rob. Rob and Denise also oversee the Thrive Marriage Ministry together and have a passion to see married couples enjoying Jesus and enjoying their life together.
Their prayer for Calvary Vista is that we would be a group growing in our love and passion for Jesus Christ, our love and care for each other, and our love for the lost in North County San Diego and the world.

Steve Henschel
Executive Pastor
The Henschel family has been a part of Calvary Vista since 1985. Steve and Jeannine were married in September of 1977 and have 2 adult children, Cheree and Joe.
Steve serves as the chief Administrative Pastor and oversees the Men’s Ministry, the Usher Team, and the Home Fellowship Groups. Jeannine serves in the front office and in the Women’s Ministry.
Steve has been a part of the Leadership Team since 1999. He also has a secret passion for cooking and loves to make the meals for our Thrive Marriage Ministry, as well as other church gatherings.

The Hill family has been a part of Calvary Vista since 1982. Eddie and Dawn have 5 children and are actively involved in the church.
Eddie is an Assistant Pastor, serving in administration, counseling, and as a worship leader. Eddie also serves on the Leadership Team and is a Board member of Calvary Christian School.
Together, Eddie and Dawn serve on the leadership team for the Thrive Marriage Fellowship, having a deep desire to help strengthen marriages in the church. Dawn is actively involved in the Women’s Ministry leadership and mentoring young moms.
The Hills have a passion to see people grow in their relationship with Jesus and become students of God’s word.

Rob Nash
Missions Pastor
Rob was married 21 years when his wife passed away in 1991. He has two children, Jessica and Jonathan. Jessica and her husband and two children live in Bend, Oregon. Jonathan and his wife live in Oceanside.
Rob is an ordained pastor and has served in various ministries throughout the years: Church Leadership Team, Sound Room Ministry, Men’s Ministry, School of Discipleship, Spanish ministry, Calvary Web Internet Ministry, School Board for Calvary Christian School, and has been involved in various mission trips.
Rob currently serves as our Missions Pastor, is on the Church Leadership Team and serves in the Spanish Ministry.
Rob’s heart for the church is that it we would become more and more intimate in our fellowship with Jesus, and as a result would increase in our ministry to one another, and our outreach to those not only in our sphere of influence but also to those in the uttermost parts of the world in these last days. Rob oversees a ministry called Simply the Story.

Jamie and Rachel were raised at Calvary Vista and now have the privilege of serving at their wonderful home church. They oversee the Young Adults group, as well as serving in other ministries together. Married for 17 years, they have 2 boys: Shepard and Wesley, and a hound named Indy. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and forever.” Ephesians 3: 20, 21

Rick and Roxanne have been married for nearly 13 years, and have 3 wonderful children from ages 5 to 10. Roxanne grew up in Calvary Vista, and together they have been attending church at CCV for about 5 years.
Rick serves as an elder, while together they serve in children’s ministry for 3rd to 5th grade. They truly enjoy fulfilling their calling of teaching the next generation “the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 78:4).

Al and Debra have been happily married since June of 1979. They have three adult children, two sons and one daughter including one grandson and two granddaughters.
Al and Debra have been part of the Calvary Chapel movement since 1986. Since then, Al has had the privilege of overseeing various teams and ministries such as Usher, Greeter, Parking Lot, Disaster Relief, Men’s, and Local Mexico Missions.
In 2017, they were both called out to North County San Diego where they started attending Calvary Vista. Together they have been actively serving on various teams and ministries.
Their desire is to see the body continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus through His Word and the love for one another as we serve others together, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.

Steve and Rachel were married by Pastor Rob over 20 years ago. Their four kids range in age from 18-8. Rachel has been at Calvary Vista since she was a child and Steve began attending in the mid-1990s. Calvary Vista was their home church when they lived out of state for 14 years. They were thrilled with the opportunity to move back in 2013. Steve and Rachel are passionate about raising the next generation in the Lord. They enjoy serving in the prayer and youth ministries and the whole family teaches a 1st and 2nd-grade class together. Simply Jesus.
