”Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed.” – Psalm 37:34
I love this verse, especially the part about traveling steadily along the Lord’s path, because the Lord’s path is a steady walk, a daily walk and consistency is a big key. Learning how to be patient and how to persevere is such a key to any spiritual endeavor. We live in the age of instant coffee, microwaves and fast food, so spiritually we often want things right now. But any one who has ever had a meal at Ruth Chris would agree that a Ruth’s Chris burger is better than Jack in the box. A good brewed coffee is better than instant and a home cooked meal is way better than a microwave, tv dinner. If we are willing to wait and even pay more for that which is going to satisfy and nourish our physical bodies, why are we so reluctant to pay more and invest the time in that which will nourish our spiritual lives?
Spiritual Walk“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” – Ephesians 5:15-16
